Who is VODsense for?
It is designed for gaming coaches who review client or student gameplay and want feedback tied directly to moments in a VOD.
Does my client need an account or the desktop app?
No. A client opening a Request VOD link does not need a VODsense account, subscription, or desktop app. They only submit a shareable source link for their coach.
Does VODsense upload or store gameplay videos?
No. VODsense does not host, proxy, cache, or permanently store customer gameplay videos. Local videos remain on the coach's Windows device, and Request VOD stores an external share link rather than the video itself.
Where are my projects stored?
Coach-created projects and review data are stored locally in a coach-specific workspace on the Windows device. An imported local video remains in its original location.
What happens if I move a local video?
VODsense keeps the original file path. If the video is moved or renamed, the saved source may no longer open until you select or import the video from its new location.
What happens if I cancel?
Access continues through the period already paid for, then subscription access ends. Cancellation does not automatically delete coach-created local projects or their review data.
What video sources are supported?
VODsense supports local video files and selected external sources. YouTube and Twitch VODs can be reviewed where available. Request VOD can accept share links from services such as Google Drive, Dropbox, OneDrive, YouTube, and other HTTPS providers.
Why are some tools unavailable for embedded videos?
External providers control their embedded players. YouTube and Twitch can support playback and timestamped moments, but provider restrictions mean they do not offer the complete local-video drawing and playback toolset.
How does the 7-day trial work?
Eligible coaches can use one server-enforced 7-day trial. A payment method is required. The selected $3.99/month or $39.99/year subscription starts automatically after the trial unless it is canceled first.
How do I update VODsense?
Use the update offered by the desktop app, or download the newest Windows installer from the official VODsense release page.
